To open doors of access to the realm of theatre and artistic expression, we have designed a handbook called The Dream Team, a resource that been created specially to provide programs such as acting training, language learning, and the study of cultural nuance for urban slum residents in Mumbai who otherwise remain disconnected to most forms of art. This handbook explores using theatre training to instill social and emotional learning among students, and conducted sessions with them using these techniques. The aim is to equip them with the kind of platform and support that will directly propel them towards a more expansive, culturally nuanced reality, where they have an abundance of options for both modes of expression and career opportunities.
